Classic old hunting Aboriginal boomerang from Great Sandy Desert.
A good example of an old Aboriginal Boomerang, collected from Jigalong community in the 1970s. Carved from a lovely dark wood, it has pointed ends, sharp, heavy and well balanced. The surface has developed a light age worn patina. Note that there are a number of diagonal markings in areas across both sides and some very minimal surface marks from age, but otherwise it is in excellent condition.
Measures 61cm or 2' long.
